Coming to an End (1)

As this was something left behind by the Xie family and Grandma Jian had given it to Jian Yiling, this meant Jian Yiling could do whatever she wanted with it.

“I’ve already thought about who I’m going to give this piece of vellum to,” Jian Yiling said. She knew the most suitable person for the task.

“Do whatever you want. I’m here to support you.”

Jinshui Village.

Grandpa Sun sighed as he sat by the edge of the waterfall in front of his thatched hut.

Ever since those two brats left, he felt incredibly lonely.

What an annoying feeling.

When he headed to the entrance of the village to buy a bottle of soy sauce, he asked to borrow someone’s phone to learn about their recent situation.

He was a little surprised to learn they had a baby already.

However, he didn’t know what the baby looked like as there were no photos on the Internet. Grandpa Sun couldn’t help but wonder if the baby looked more like Yiling or Yunsheng.

Hmmm.. Should he go to the village store today and buy a packet of salt?

Maybe there would be some new information on the Internet.

Of course, the owner of the store at the entrance of the village wasn’t allowed to know what news he was looking for.

“Master.”

“Am I missing delicious food that much? Am I actually hallucinating?” Grandpa Sun exclaimed in disgust.

Ahh, he lived by himself for decades and was okay with it. So why was time passing by so slowly nowadays?

“Master.”

“What the hell? Am I actually going crazy? Is she haunting me or something? If you don’t stop haunting me, I will go to Beijing and smack you!” Grandpa Sun muttered angrily.

“Master, I don’t want to be smacked.”

Huh?

Grandpa Sun turned around abruptly and saw Zhai Yunsheng and Jian Yiling. Jian Yiling was holding a little boy in her arms.

Naturally, Grandpa Sun was overjoyed to see them. However, as soon as he got up, he stopped himself from hurrying over.

When Zhai Yunsheng and the others walked over, Grandpa Sun had a stern expression on his face as he asked: “What are you doing here? Didn’t I warn you not to come back?”

“Master, we have something important to ask you.” Jian Yiling explained.

“Something important? You’re only here because there’s something important? Who do you take me as? Do you think you can come and find me whenever you want?”

Grandpa Sun reprimanded Jian Yiling.

Upon hearing this, Jian Yiling looked at Zhai Yunsheng with a bewildered face and silently asked him for help.

What was Grandpa Sun angry for? Didn’t he not want them to bother him if they had nothing important?

There was a smile on Zhai Yunsheng’s face. He was evidently not scared of Grandpa Sun. “Well, we mainly wanted to see you. Even if you don’t want us to visit, we still wanted to come with our son.”

As he said this, Zhai Yunsheng handed Zhai Erdan into Grandpa Sun’s arms.

“Ahhhhh!” Grandpa Sun let out a miserable cry. “What are you giving me such an ugly thing?”

When Jian Yiling heard this, she reached out to take back her son. However, Zhai Yunsheng stopped her and gestured for her to stay still.

Despite calling the little boy ugly, Grandpa Sun’s hands held the little boy steadily.

Jian Yiling’s son surprisingly was not afraid of Grandpa Sun. He didn’t cry nor cause any trouble. Instead, he stared at Grandpa Sun.

“This little thing is really ugly,” Grandpa Sun commented as he held onto the little boy. However, he had no intentions of returning the child to Zhai Yunsheng and Jian Yiling.

“You won’t think he’s cute when he’s stinky,” Zhai Yunsheng said with disdain.

He still didn’t like his son much and this was especially the case when he was stinky or drinking milk.
