Chapter 946 The full picture
( Rudra's POV )
Rudra stood face to face against Junfred the God Of War and Enel The Celestial God Of plants.
The two of them were the first ones to visit him after he ascended to the celestial realm and they were sweating buckets just standing across Rudra.
The reason they were sweating was because Rudra was single handedly overpowering both of their aura's alone as they had made the mistake of flexing their aura in front of the guildmaster after they landed on his celestial peak.
" Okay, okay, that's enough -" said Enel as he tapped out before Junfred who was also in an equally worse condition.
"Hmm" Rudra said suspiciously as he receded his aura and let the two visitors free as he snapped his fingers and created two chairs out in the open and requested his guests to take a seat.
" I felt it from afar, but you're different from us, although you have just ascended, with dual cores and 7 seeds of power inside you, you're stronger than any other celestial around.
No wonder the perfect warrior personally meddled with your promotion" Junfred said eventually as Rudra raised an eyebrow-, there was a lot of context that he was missing about the celestial realm, about the perfect warrior and about the other celestials and his visitors were the best chance for him to fill some of that knowledge gap.
" Your expression says it all, I'll tell you everything you need to know, but in return you have to promise us that you will consider forming an alliance with us, once we share with you all the knowledge that we have-" Enel said as Rudra took a deep breath listening to his proposal. He was in urgent need of knowledge and if the other celestials did not visit him, he was planning to meet them directly from his end as well which probably meant that he would have had to make concessions to get what he wanted.
Since the celestials that visited him were not asking for any guarantees but just to consider forming an alliance with them, Rudra did not think it was a half bad proposal either as after thinking over it several times he softly said " okay"
" The celestial realm as you must have figured out till now is emptier than you think.
There are a total of 11 of us here and then there is the perfect warrior.
The final goal of the celestial realm as you might already know is to defeat the perfect warrior, a being, who acts as the gatekeeper of our universe, however, you might not understand why defeating him is so important….." Junfred said, as he shook his head and seemed disappointed in himself for the naive god that he once was.
" The purpose of defeating the perfect warrior is not to reach the pinnacle of strength and become a tier10 existence.
I think you might not appreciate this sentiment, since you have just ascended from the controlled universe where power meant everything, however, up here after spending thousands of years fighting with the perfect warrior, we have realized that power means nothing in of itself.
I'm sorry if I'm getting sidetracked but without explaining to you the crux of this sentiment, I'm afraid I can't explain the purpose of the celestial realm as a whole-" Enel continued as he grit his teeth and was visibly agitated.
" So what if you defeat the perfect warrior and become the strongest? For a week you will feel good about yourself, but with only 11 challengers who are not even fully motivated to beat you, will you be able to spend an eternity in this realm?" Junfred asked as Rudra's eyes widened in shock.
There was nothing to really live for in the celestial realm as it was.
A few mountain peaks and the goal of defeating the perfect warrior, however, was that really it?
If so, then defeating the perfect warrior would make one devoid of the only purpose in this realm and would not that make for a supremely boring life? " No… the real reason to defeat the perfect warrior is because he is the gate-keeper to our universe.
Think of him as the final boss of Sigma, the ultimate being that you have to beat to complete the game and the celestial realm is like the grounds outside the boss stage which you can't leave once you enter.
You might believe that defeating the boss would mean game over, but that's not true.
The perfect warrior needs to be defeated, because only by defeating the perfect warrior can our universe finally be eligible to enter the tower of god's!
The real ultimate game that can right all our wrongs" Junfred said with his body visibly shaking as he felt intense anger and regret.
" The perfect warrior is an existence which is compiled using data from all the universe's who have already beaten him, and only when a universe evolves enough to produce a warrior who can surpass the collective amalgamation of all their predecessors are they allowed to enter the tower.
It's a fucked up world we live in, since the current perfect warrior is a bastard who has no flaws or weaknesses to exploit at all.
Defeating him is impossible and it makes us celestials, beings who were judged worthy enough to enter into a final face off against the perfect warrior fell impotent and useless" Enel said as Rudra finally began piecing together the biggest picture.
" I know it might be hard for you to understand as to why it's so important to enter the tower, however, although we feel like we are god's and great beings, the reality is we're not.
We are foolish immortals who can live long lives, however, we can't truly live fulfilling lives!
Imagine having the ability to transmigrate to any moment of your own life and start it anew?
Having the ability to save anyone you wish to save and kill anyone you wish to kill?
Imagine having the ability to transmigrate to the first beginner village of Omega as a tier6 god and doing as you please? Or literally living your life anyway you want.
If you don't like an outcome, just redo the time jump, if you don't feel powerful enough, just change the settings!
The tower can give you the ability to live a regret free life should you climb high enough, however, to access that game, our universe must prove its worthiness and defeat the perfect warrior" Junfred said as finally Rudra understood exactly what was at stake.
