Max had to pull himself together mentally as he could not afford to be distracted when facing the perfect warrior.

The clone's death dealt a big blow to his morale as he was just starting to enjoy the benefits of fighting an opponent two versus one before the clone's untimely and easy demise.

According to his original plan, the clone was supposed to exhaust everything in its arsenal.

The clone was supposed to pull out all single use moves, to risk his own HP and force the enemy to use [ Constant Regeneration ] and help Max build momentum.

However, with his death Max was suddenly put on the backfoot.

To say that the perfect warrior was 'Too Good' was an understatement and only high caliber fighters like the celestials could ever understand just how good he was as it was the small things about his battle style that made it so effective.

The perfect warrior's battle style was built around his incredibly resilient defense.

He minimized unnecessary movement and was always the second one to act in a fight.

Never did he charge first at the opponent or forcefully tried to create an opening as he was always calm and let his opponent approach him first.

If things went wrong for him, his resilient body took minimal damage, however, by acting second he was always in control of countering his opponents move the best way possible and even if he took damage, he ensured to deal it back twice as much.

This left Max in a position where he was forced to fight a battle with there being 0 margin for errors.

Any initiative that he took to attack, anywhere where he tried to be creative, everything had to be measured and immaculate as if his attack strategy proved to be less than optimal at any point then the perfect warrior was definitely going to capitalize on any errors made.magic

The kind of pressure that one felt when facing such an opponent became a psychological burden that could cripple one's will to fight back and it was probably this intimidation factor that was the perfect warrior's greatest strength.

Every individual that ever climbed his cliff could always be a 'Challenger' while he was the 'Champion'.

While the challenger had something to prove by defeating him, he had nothing to prove. If the challenger did not take the initiative to fight, the perfect warrior did not need to go out of his way to beat them, which was the biggest advantage that he held in the celestial arena.

The two engaged in a dance of death, however, Max, plagued with self-doubt, was cautious of every move that he made.

" Your fear…. I can smell it" the perfect warrior said as he smiled wider and began to push back with greater strength.

" And I can smell your stinky breath, come on dude use some toothpaste once in a while" Max rebutted

" You've come further than most, but is this all that you're capable of?" the perfect warrior asked, disappointment evident in his voice as he activated a technique Max had never seen before.

[ Drunken Monk Style :- Erratic Palm Slaps ]

Saying so, the perfect warrior bent his body at an awkward angle and began sending out powerful energy palm strikes towards Max from odd angles.

[ Buddha's Avatar ]

[ Serenity Veil ]

Max did not sense any major threat from the palm slaps and used Buddha's Avatar coupled with the defensive barrier Serenity Veil to neutralize it.

*SPLAT*

-12,000,000

The very first palm sent out by the perfect warrior ignored all of Max's defenses and landed squarely on his body as the technique seemed to be of a dimensional nature that could ignore physical barriers.

[ Constant Teleportation ]

Decisively moving away, Max teleported out of the range of attack and changed his location several times to get a vantage point for counter against the perfect warrior.

However, this was exactly what the perfect warrior wanted.

While Max and him were embroiled in a high speed close range combat, the perfect warrior could not gather enough divine essence to throw a tier8 attack, however, as Max was forced to go on the run, he received the gap he was looking for as he was able to gather the energy needed for a tier8 spell.

[ 10 Million Lances ]

The heavens opened up, small portals the size of a shower head popped up everywhere and from them emerged glowing charged spears.

Million Lances all pointed towards Max shot out towards his location and when he tried to teleport he realized that because of the high concentration of portals around his location, the space-time continuum was warped and he could not teleport anywhere within the range of [ Constant Teleportation ] where his body would not be ripped apart from trying to bend the rules of reality.

The perfect warrior had played his hand perfectly, trapping Max in a tricky situation with no easy way out.

Of Course this situation was not enough to kill Max, he could still fight his way through while taking minimal damage, but he had now lost the initiative as well.

While he dealt with this move, the perfect warrior was already preparing the next and if the battle continued at this pace then let alone forcing the perfect warrior to exhaust his [ Constant Regeneration ], it would be Max who would have to exhaust all his attacks first.

This was a make or break moment in Max's fight against the perfect warrior and it was now that Max had to make the choice between playing it safe or risking it all to win.

Did he truly have what it took to beat the undefeated champion?

Or was he doing to be added to the list of defeated challengers just like everyone else before him.
